Protein Power Cookies

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 3 eggs or 3 egg whites
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 4 cups quick oats
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or 1 cup m&m's plain chocolate candy (optional)
  • 3/4 cup raisins (optional)
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts or 3/4 cup pecans (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 cream together; brown sugar, applesauce, peanut butter, eggs, and vanilla.
  • 2 blend in flour and baking soda.
  • 3 blend in oats.
  • 4 add your choice of optional ingredients; nuts, chocolate, raisins, or all of the above.
  • 5 mix well.
  • 6 drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 7 bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or til lightly browned.
  • 8 let cool 2 or 3 minutes before removing from pan.
