Orange Marmalade Bread

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs
- 10 ounces orange marmalade
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Recipe
- 1 beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- 2 add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- 3 blend in marmalade and set mixture aside.
- 4 combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- 5 add dry ingredients to butter mixture alternately with orange juice; stir in nuts.
- 6 pour into a greased and floured 9x5" loaf pan.
- 7 bake at 350 degrees for one hour or until toothpick tests clean.
- 8 cool for 15 minutes before removing from pan.
