Protein Power Cookies

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar (use splenda brown sugar)
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 3 whole eggs or 3 egg whites
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 4 cups quick oats
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional) or 1 cup m&ms plain chocolate candy (optional)
  • 3/4 cup raisins (optional)
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional) or 3/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 cream together; brown sugar, applesauce, peanut butter, eggs, and vanilla.
  • 2 blend in flour and baking soda. blend in oats.
  • 3 add your choice of optional ingredients; nuts, chocolate, raisins, or all of the above. mix well.
  • 4 drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or til lightly browned.
  • 5 let cool 2 or 3 minutes before removing from pan.
