Crunch "bars"

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 16
  • 35 premium plus saltine crackers
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 8 (1 ounce) baker's semi-sweet chocolate baking squares, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup walnut pieces, toasted, finely chopped

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 400°f place crackers in single layer in foil-lined 15x10x3/4-inch pan.
  • 2 cook butter and sugar in saucepan on medium-high heat until butter is melted and mixture is well blended, stirring occasionally. bring to boil; cook 3 minute without stirring. spread over crackers.
  • 3 bake 7 minute immediately sprinkle with chopped chocolate; let stand 5 minute spread melted chocolate over crackers. sprinkle with walnuts; cool completely. break into pieces.
