Holiday Eggnog Bread

Ingredients

  • Servings: 20
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cups eggnog
  • 3/4 cup candied fruit or 3/4 cup cherries, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 sift dry ingredients together including sugar.
  • 2 combine eggnog, melted butter and egg.
  • 3 stir into dry ingredients just to blend.
  • 4 blend in nuts and fruits.
  • 5 place mixture into a greased and floured 9 inch loaf pan.
  • 6 bake in a preheated 350f oven about 60 to 70 minutes or tested done. remove from pan and cool completely before slicing.
