Lavender Apricot Scones

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lavender flowers
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup apricot preserves, 100-percent-fruit
  • 2 tablespoons apple juice or 2 tablespoons orange juice

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • 2 in a large bowl, combine flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
