Hungarian Butter Cakes

Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup lard
  • 4 egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 lemon, juice and rind of
  • 2 cups walnuts, finely ground
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/2 fresh lemon rind, grated

Recipe

  • 1 mix flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder together.
