Polka-dot Cherry Cookies In A Jar

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup quick-cooking oats, uncooked
• 3/4 cup dried cherries
• 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
• 1 cup chocolate chips

Recipe

• 1 layer sugar in a one-quart, wide-mouth jar; set aside.
• 2 mix together the next 4 ingredients; add to the jar, packing down gently.
• 3 layer the remaining ingredients in the order given.
• 4 secure lid and attach instructions.
• 5 instructions: in a large mixing bowl, cream 1/2 cup butter; add in 1 egg.
• 6 blend in cookie mix; mix well.
• 7 drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
• 8 bake in a 375° oven for 10-12 minutes.
• 9 cool cookies on a wire rack.
