Gina's Oatmeal Caramelita's

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups quick-cooking oats
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups butter, melted (3 sticks)
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup nuts, chopped (peanuts, walnuts) (optional)
- 1 1/2 cups caramel ice cream topping
- 3 tablespoons flour
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- 3 combine the first 6 ingredients to form crumbs; press ½ of crumb mixture into pan and bake for 15 minutes.
- 4 sprinkle the chocolate chips and nuts, if using, over the baked crumbs.
- 5 mix together the caramel and the flour and drizzle over chocolate chips and nuts.
- 6 sprinkle remaining crumbs over caramel topping.
- 7 bake for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
- 8 chill for easy cutting.
