Homemade Granola

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 cups oats
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons golden syrup
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or 1/2 cup pecans
  • 1 cup dried fruit, your choice (cranberry,apricots,raisins...)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350f (175c).
  • 2 in a small saucepan melt butter,sugar, honey and syrup over medium heat.
  • 3 in a medium bowl mix oats and nuts.
  • 4 pour warm butter-sugar mixture over the oat mixture and stir well.
  • 5 place on a large tray and bake for 10 - 15 minutes. it should be lightly golden brown.
  • 6 let it cool.
  • 7 add dry fruits.
  • 8 store in airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
