Date, Pecan & Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

- 6 egg whites
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips, melted
- 1 1/4 cups dates, chopped
- 1/2 cup walnuts or 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/4 cup plain flour
- fudge sauce, to serve
- whipped cream, to serve
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 180.c.
- 2 grease and line a 23cm springform pan.
- 3 beat eggwhites with a mixer until firm peaks form, gradually beat in sugar, until thick & glossy.
- 4 lightly fold in remaining ingredints and pour into prepared pan.
- 5 bake 50-60 mins, until firm.
- 6 turn off oven leaving cake to cool completely & chill until required.
