Lemon Nut Bread

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons finely shredded lemons, rind of
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Recipe
- 1 cream together butter or margarine and sugar yntill mixture is light and fluffy.
- 2 add eggs and shredded lemon peel.
- 3 beat thoroughly.
- 4 stir together flour,baking powder and salt.
- 5 add to creamed mixture alternately with milk,beating well after each addition.
- 6 stir in walnuts.
- 7 pour batter into a greased 8 1/2x4 1/2x2/12 inch loaf pan.
- 8 bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes.
- 9 cool in pan for 10 minutes.
- 10 remove and cool on rack.
