Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 750 g minced meat
- 1 cup tomato, chopped
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 3 cups whole wheat breadcrumbs
- 1 cup vegetable stock or 1 cup soymilk
- 1 egg
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 cup nuts, chopped, preferably walnuts
- 1 teaspoon herb-seasoned salt
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce or 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- black pepper, to taste
Recipe
- 1 mix steak, tomato, 1 onion, 1 cup breadcrumbs, stock or soy milk and beaten eggs.
- 2 mix thoroughly.
- 3 place meat mixture on bottom of a greased loaf dish.
- 4 mix together remaining ingredients and place on top of meat mixture.
- 5 cover with remaining meat mixture.
- 6 bake in moderate oven for 1 - 1½ hours.
- 7 cool for five minutes before removing from the dish.
