Passover Chocolate Matzah Candy

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 30
  • 6 sheets matzoh crackers
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate bits
  • 1/2 lb butter
  • 1 cup sugar (your choice) or 1 cup brown sugar (your choice)
  • 1 cup walnuts (approximately)

Recipe

  • 1 grease both sides of aluminum foil and set in the bottom of a cookie sheet.
  • 2 arrange the matzah on top of the foil breaking them, if necessary, to fit the pan completely.
  • 3 melt the butter and add the sugar and cook for 3 minutes.
  • 4 pour mixture over the matzah and spread evenly to cover them all.
  • 5 put into a 350 degree oven for 5 minutes.
  • 6 remove from oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top.
  • 7 it will take approximately 3-5 minutes for the chocolate to melt.
  • 8 when melted spread over the top of the matzah.
  • 9 if desired, sprinkle with chopped nuts.
  • 10 refrigerate till firm.
  • 11 break into pieces.
