Moist Healthy Banana Bread

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter (i used smart balance light)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup splenda sugar substitute
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar (for topping)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat over to 350 degrees.
  • 2 in a large mixing bowl, beat on low speed bananas, butter, sugar, and the egg until mixed.
  • 3 add in the vanilla, salt and baking soda and beat until mixed.
  • 4 add flour and 1°c of walnuts and mix until the mixture is thoroughly wet.
  • 5 pour mixture into a greased (pam) 4x8 bread pan.
  • 6 bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • 7 let cool on a cooling rack.
  • 8 slice and enjoy!
