Double Brownies

Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 1/2 cups icing sugar
- 2/3 cup chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon butter
Recipe
- 1 chocolate layer: beat eggs until foamy.
- 2 add sugar, flour, walnuts, and salt.
- 3 melt cocoa and butter together in saucepan over low heat.
- 4 add to egg mixture and blend well.
- 5 spread in greased 9x13 inch pan.
- 6 set aside.
- 7 butterscotch layer: cream butter with brown sugar in another bowl.
- 8 add eggs and vanilla.
- 9 beat until well mixed.
- 10 add remaining ingredients.
- 11 stir.
- 12 spoon over chocolate layer in small blobs.
- 13 spread as best you can.
- 14 bake at 350 for about 35 minutes until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan.
- 15 cool.
- 16 icing: bring butter, brown sugar, and milk to boil in saucepan.
- 17 simmer for 2 minutes.
- 18 cool.
- 19 stir in icing sugar, adding more sugar or milk if necessary to make consistency for easy spreading.
- 20 spread over cooled squares.
- 21 melt chocolate chips and butter together in top of double boiler or in microwave on medium-low heat to melt, stir often.
- 22 drizzle over icing.
