Crunch Bars

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 35 premium soda crackers, salted tops (or you may want to use unsalted)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 (225 g) package semisweet chocolate (8 squares)
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400°f.
  • 2 place crackers in a single layer on a 15x10" cookie sheet.
  • 3 heat butter and sugar over medium high heat until the butter has melted and the mixture is well blended.
  • 4 bring to a boil: boil 3 minutes without stirring.
  • 5 spread over the crackers.
  • 6 bake 7 minutes, remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with the chopped chocolate.
  • 7 let stand 5 minutes.
  • 8 spread the now melted chocolate over top,.
  • 9 sprinkle with the walnuts, cool.
  • 10 cut or break into pieces, enjoy.
