Mom's Pan Brownies

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 8 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 cup flour, sifted
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup pecans or 1 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. cream butter with sugar in a mixing bowl with hand mixer. add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each addition. add cocoa. blend well. add flour, salt, and baking powder. fold in nuts and vanilla extract. pour into a greased 13-by-9-inch baking pan. bake 28-32 minutes, or until top is crusty and brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan. cool. cut into squares.
