Maple Sugar Caramels

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup maple sugar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Recipe
- 1 in a medium sized pan, combine all the sugars, corn syrup and cream until sugar dissolves.
- 2 cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until candy thermometer reads 250 degrees f.
- 3 remove pan from heat and stir in the salt, butter and nuts.
- 4 pour mixture into a buttered pan and let cool.
- 5 cut into squares.
