Low - Fat Crispy Cookies

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar or 1 1/2 cups sugar substitute, such as splenda
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 1/3 cups flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon skim milk

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375°f
  • 2 in a small bowl combine milk and 1 tsp cinnamon, set aside.
  • 3 cream butter with the sugar, the egg whites and the lemon juice until fluffy.
  • 4 combine flour, powder, 1 tsp cinnamon, salt and nutmeg.
  • 5 add the flour mixture in the creamed mixture, stir in walnuts.
  • 6 roll dough onto a floured surface.
  • 7 cut with cookie cutter. it's optional. if i'm in a hurry, i just shape a little balls, then i place them onto baking sheets and then flat them with a fork.
  • 8 brush with the milk and cinnamon.
  • 9 bake about 10 minutes.
