potato chip cookies vi

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups crushed potato chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

    Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins Ready Time: 25 mins

  • preheat oven to 350 degrees f (175 degrees c).
  • in a large bowl, cream together the shortening, white sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. add the eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition, then stir in the vanilla. combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture. finally, fold in the potato chips and walnuts. drop by rounded spoonfuls an unprepared cookie sheet.
  • bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
