Passover Nut Cake

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 10 eggs, separated
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar, scant
  • 1 cup walnuts, finely ground or 1 cup almonds
  • 3 tablespoons cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • 2 beat the egg whites with the salt.
  • 3 beat the egg yolks and the salt and add the sugar 1 tablespoon at a time.
  • 4 blend nuts and cinnamon. add nut mixture to yolks in thirds (turn beater to low). add whites.
  • 5 bake in springform pan without grease. bake 1 hour. use a knife to get it off sides of pan after its cooled. let cool before removing from pan. invert immediately.
