Meatballs And Gravy

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 5 saltine crackers
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- salt
- pepper
- oil
- flour
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup beef consomme or 1 cup broth
- 1/2 cup water
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 except for the flour and oil mix all of the meatball ingredients.
- 2 form into balls the size of walnuts; roll in flour; brown in oil.
- 3 place meatballs in baking dish and set aside.
- 4 to make the gravy, discard all but 2 tbls of fat.
- 5 brown flour in remaining fat and gradually add the rest of the gravy ingredients.
- 6 stir with a whisk to make smooth.
- 7 pour the gravy over the meatballs.
- 8 cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
