Low - Fat Wholesome Baked Oatmeal With Agave

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup nuts (walnuts, pecans, almonds)
  • 1/3 cup agave syrup
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 dash flax powder (if on hand)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 dash salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup egg substitute
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted in microwave for 30 seconds
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups berries
  • 2 cups bananas

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375 --.
  • 2 spray pam on inside of dish.
  • 3 in a bowl- mix together oats, half walnuts, half brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, flax and salt.
  • 4 in a second bowl- whisk together agave syrup, milk, egg substitute, half of the butter, and the vanilla.
  • 5 arrange bananas on the bottom of the baking dish. throw some of the berries on top of the bananas.
  • 6 cover fruit with oat mixture.
  • 7 pour the liquid mixture from other bowl on top of oats evenly.
  • 8 top your caserole with rest of berries and nuts.
  • 9 bake around 45 minutes in a gas oven,( up to 10 min less in an electric oven to be specific) until the mixture has set in the middle and the entire casserole is a golden brown.
  • 10 let rest around 10 minutes, as it is very hot !
