Low - Fat Crispy Cookies

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar or 1 1/2 cups sugar substitute, such as splenda
- 2 egg whites
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 1/3 cups flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 tablespoon skim milk
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 375°f
- 2 in a small bowl combine milk and 1 tsp cinnamon, set aside.
- 3 cream butter with the sugar, the egg whites and the lemon juice until fluffy.
- 4 combine flour, powder, 1 tsp cinnamon, salt and nutmeg.
- 5 add the flour mixture in the creamed mixture, stir in walnuts.
- 6 roll dough onto a floured surface.
- 7 cut with cookie cutter. it's optional. if i'm in a hurry, i just shape a little balls, then i place them onto baking sheets and then flat them with a fork.
- 8 brush with the milk and cinnamon.
- 9 bake about 10 minutes.
