Gorgonzola-pear Appetizer Toasts

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 4 -6 ounces gorgonzola
  • 1 pear, thinly sliced
  • 4 -6 teaspoons honey
  • 8 teaspoons walnuts, chopped
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1 baguette, sliced diagonally in 1/3-inch thick slices
  • 4 -8 teaspoons olive oil, for basting
  • salt, to taste

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees f.
  • 2 make toasts: brush each slice of baguette with olive oil and season with salt. toast in oven until golden and crisp.
  • 3 spread gorgonzola cheese on toasts and top with 2 thin slices of pear. drizzle honey over, then sprinkle walnuts. season with salt and pepper to taste.
