Mile High Fudgetopped Brownies

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 4 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 (11 1/2 ounce) package milk chocolate chips
- 1 (7 ounce) jar marshmallow cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
Recipe
- 1 in a saucepan over low heat, melt butter and chocolate.
- 2 remove from heat.
- 3 blend in sugar and vanilla.
- 4 beat in eggs.
- 5 combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to chocolate mix.
- 6 stir in nuts if desired.
- 7 pour into greased 13x9 baking pan.
- 8 bake 350 for 25-30 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched.
- 9 do not over bake.
- 10 make the topping while the brownies are baking.
- 11 in a heavy saucepan combine sugar, milk and butter; bring to a boil over medium heat.
- 12 reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- 13 remove from heat and stir in semi-sweet and milk chips, marshmallow cream and vanilla.
- 14 beat until smooth.
- 15 spread over warm brownies.
- 16 freeze until firm.
- 17 cut with a knife that has been run under hot water.
- 18 store in refigerator.
